Ollur St Antony's Forane Church paid compensation

Ollur St. Antonys Forane Church (under Thrissur Diocese) authorities handed over the Cheque for Rs.2,50,000 for the damage of Rapheal Thekkiniath's residence due to the fire -works display in 2014. Parish Vicar Fr. Noby Ambookkan announced this during the Sunday Mass on 27th December.

Feud between parish, member resolved Ramavarman T, Thrissur:

The dispute between the authorities of the Ollur St Antony's Forane Church near here, and a member of the parish over the conduct of the marriage of his son was settled following the mediation by the district collector A S Kowsigan.

The parish member Thekkiniyath Raphael had alleged that a section of the parish council members were trying to block his son's wedding as he had filed a case earlier against the church for legal violations during the fire-works display held as part of the church festival.

Some parish council members had organised a demonstration earlier demanding that Raphael's son's marriage should not be solemnized at the church as he had field a case against the church. Two members of a TV crew who had come to the church to cover the developments were assaulted couple of days ago.

However during the negotiations, the church authorities agreed to pay compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh to Raphael for the damge caused to his house during the fireworks display and also not to create any obstruction during the wedding. Raphael on his part agreed to withdraw the case.

Hi Everyone,

When you think that the church has stooped so low and hit the rock bottom, they proved that they can be worse.

Below is the notice issued by church on last Sunday(20th Dec 2015) to all its followers and near by churches asking to ban me, my father and my brother from the society and church.

Sadly these people don't know that banning people from society (ostracization) is a big criminal offense.

And instigating and mobilizing crowd for these activities deserves punishment from Indian Law. The priest during the holy mass asked the representatives of each family units to get these notices from the office and distribute to each family under them.

The notice tells the believers that this fight is not against Rapheal but this is a fight for their christian belief and maintain Angel Rapheal's parish feast. Extremists of other sects should learn from our church on how to misguide the believers and exploit their belief systems.

The notice is full of false allegations. I have clearly explained all those allegations in my previous posts. So I am not getting into that. 

I feel pity for the people who thinks that stopping my marriage is equivalent to fight for their christian belief.
